The three buildings which make the Albert Residences are part of the regeneration of one of Worcester City’s largest and most historic listed buildings.
All three buildings benefit from modern, stylish accommodation, security, car parking spaces (subject to permits), and secure cycle storage, secure WI-FI across the full site and on-site laundry facilities.
These three vibrant student living accommodation buildings surround a large landscaped communal courtyard with outdoor seating areas and ‘The Play Shed’, a large communal lounge and study area.
The Wheeler Building is the beautifully renovated old historic building, constructed in 1866 and first came into use as an orphanage in1869 and latterly YMCA accommodation.
It provides accommodation for 87 students as well as residents communal areas and facilities including, a laundry, large communal lounge / study area and smaller meeting room / collaborative study room.

All bedrooms and studio rooms are fully furnished including, double bed, mattress, single wardrobe, bedside table, desk, chair. All cluster apartment entry doors and studios have secure access control.
The shared kitchen, dining and lounge area comes equipped with hob and oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table and chairs, sofas.
Padmore cottage is a unique renovation of an old cottage that was once part of this historic site. A single home with 4 en-suite bedrooms and a shared kitchen, lounge and dining room area.
All bedrooms are fully furnished including, double bed, mattress, single wardrobe, bedside table, desk, chair.
The shared kitchen, dining and lounge area comes equipped with hob and oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table and chairs, sofas.
The Curtler Building is the new build accommodation, providing accommodation for 72 students across 12 cluster apartments

The shared kitchen, dining and lounge area comes equipped with hob and oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table and chairs, sofa.
The Lounge and Play Shed is exclusively for residents to access. This social space offers a large communal lounge and study area with access to secure WIFI for all residents.
Residents can use this space to study, meet friends and socialise; with its own self-contained kitchen and doors that open directly onto the large central courtyard, this space is perfect for entertaining and holding events.
An events programme will be communicated to all residents.
The Albert Residences is located only a short a 5-minute walk from the University Campus and sports complex and a 10-minute walk into the city centre
Residents have access to several on-site facilities a laundry, large communal lounge/study area, smaller meeting room/collaborative study room, secure post room (including SMART parcel lockers), and The Lounge and Play Shed.
Residents will be provided with access to our secure WIFI which covers all the Albert Residences site.
WIFI access and usage is subject to your tenancy agreement and provides connectivity for up to 25 devices per user. Wired base speed of 1Gbps and wireless base speed of 250Mbps (subject to survey results and capabilities of existing data infrastructure to the site).
We have a total of 69 car parking spaces available for our residents, including 7 accessible spaces, 5 motorcycle spaces and 7 short-stay/visitor spaces.
Residents can purchase a car parking permit per term or for the duration of their tenancy.
Due to limited car parking spaces, this is on a first come, first serve basis. The permit is assigned to an individual vehicle and cannot be swapped to other vehicles.
Anyone parking without a permit will have their vehicle clamped and a parking fine applied. Details are displayed in the car parking area, or you can view our car parking policy in the secure resident’s portal.
We have secure cycle storage for a total of 185 bikes, including 151 inside secure enclosures, to be used on a first come first serve basis, together with external hoops for a further 34 bikes.
The secure cycle storage is located at the back of the site in the car park, and adjacent to the post room.
We are not responsible for any loss or damage of any bicycles.
Unclaimed bicycles stored in these cycle storage areas at the end of term will be removed.
The laundry room is located on the ground floor of the Wheeler building, adjacent to the main communal lounge.
The laundry room provides 1 washing machine and 2 tumble dryers.
This facility is managed by an external operator and requires residents to set up an account. More details are included in residents welcome pack and our secure resident’s portal.
The external entry doors to each residence building and the entrance gates to the site are covered by CCTV.
All entry doors have secure access controls for residents use only.
